EAST MEETS WEST AS CHICKADIVAS HOST CADENCE

Two Award-winning Canadian A Cappella groups will take to the stage as vocal harmony soars to new heights in Edmonton. A cappella unleashed!

On March 5, four men – otherwise known as the 3-time Juno-nominated group CADENCE – and five women – a.k.a. The CHICKAdivas, 1st prize winners in the 2003 edition of Northern Harmony, The Canadian A Cappella Festival – will fill Bellevue Hall with music generated by their voices alone, putting their own spin on popular and original songs.

As the hosts, The CHICKAdivas will welcome CADENCE to the west during an Alberta tour that will take them to ten stops across the province. CADENCE is now in their 12th season of performing a cappella and surprising audiences with their tight harmony, instrumental imitation and high-energy antics. They’ve earned a reputation as Canada’s premiere jazz-pop a cappella group.

Not to be outdone, expect The CHICKAdivas to add dashes of their sassy humour, gorgeous sound and engaging stage presence, West hosts East and shows what they do best: produce sensational sounds. Expect the CHICKS to weave melodies into unforgettable sound events, tapping into jazz and pop classics.

Be sure to “C” it all in a not-to-be missed, once in a lifetime event.
